Most people think that Valentine’s Day is only fun for the people in love or in a relationship, but that is not necessarily true. I have been in a relationship the past five valentines day’s and I’ll admit that it is one of the best holidays because it is a day that you can spend with your loved one and have a nice romantic evening just the two of you. This year I am not going to lie, I was almost dreading February 14th to come because being a single girl now, I thought that I would have no fun. Not to mention the constant Instagram and Facebook love posts from everyone who is currently taken. This year though I am going to look at Valentine’s Day from a whole new perspective because I am able to spend it with other loved ones who are not a boyfriend, but good friends. For all of you single ladies out there, here are some activities you and a friend can do this upcoming Friday:
Relax and Rejuvenate by having a Spa Day. Either go to your local spa with a group of friends or have a spa day at home, either way will just be as nice and relaxing. Start by making homemade facials and get out all of your nail supply to do some mani, pedis. This will also be a great time to catch up on some girl talk.
Have a movie night with the besties. Each of you pick a chick flick with some good romance in it and lust over your hot celebrity crushes on this day. Have each person bring a different snack and eat junk food and laugh all night with your best friends.
Put on your Dancing Shoes. Whether you go to a bar/club or just hang in a dorm room or basement, what better day than to dance the night away by blasting some good Taylor Swift?!
Bubble bath and a good book always does the trick! There is nothing better than to lay in a nice hot tub after a long day of school or work. This is perfect after a long stressful week and you just feel like having some alone time. I recommend reading The Fault in Our Stars if you haven’t already just because it is a quick read and you can easily bang it out in one night.
